Our Toddler Room has a capacity for twenty toddlers aged 2 years to 3 years old (approx according to individual needs). Your child will move from Toddlers to Pre School when you and your child's Key Worker feels that they are developmentally ready. There will be one senior member of staff and four Nursery Nurses when at full capacity. The Toddler Room will offer them a warm, welcoming, caring and stimulating environment. We create positive relationships with all of our children and their parents as well as encouraging the children to develop friendships through social groups, circle time, stories and songs.

The indoor space offers; cosy corner with book sharing, mark making area, creative play, constructions, messy play, table top activities and much more. We also have our own toileting facilities to aid toilet training and equipped to suit the needs of young children. Most children this age still require a daily rest period or nap, to support this children are provided with a quiet area. The children become independent as their confidence grows throughout their time in the Toddler Room, for example in Health and Self Care such as toileting and washing hands with supervision.

We have a fantastic, large outdoor play area that is shared with the Pre School Room and Out of School Club. This play space has been designed to allow the children to play safely in the environment. The ground covering consists of Astro turf, rubber matting and grass allowing the children to explore different surfaces and textures. There is a range of activities including low-level water, sand and messy play trays, bikes, wooden climbing frame, mud kitchen and much more, encouraging development particularly in the large motor skills area.
